Pyomo-formulated biological-safety selector with deterministic enumeration across viability, targeted ARG/MGE, hydrothermal endpoint, aqueous regrowth, residual release, and non-target/fallback constraints. Current package covers 6 gate categories and 16 biological targets.

Biological targets tied to this gate

Salmonella invA; Adenovirus hexon; Viable helminth ova ITS proxy; Spore-former 16S proxy; sul1 sulfonamide resistance; intI1 class 1 integron

Biopython computes GC, melting temperature, and reverse-complement checks for representative pathogen, ARG, MGE, and biofilm-carrier target sequences so the assay plan is tied to measurable biology.

Experiments
SCWO biohazard destruction fallback run

The selected package requires viable-organism indicators, ARG/MGE qPCR or ddPCR, HTL phase splitting, aqueous regrowth, hydrochar leachate, and SCWO fallback evidence before a biological-safety claim is promoted.

Aqueous return and residual release stay in the first package because surviving DNA, biofilm carriers, or regrowth can move biological risk back into the wastewater plant or land route even when oil chemistry looks clean.

intI1, sul1, blaTEM, mcr-1, tetM, enteric virus proxies, Salmonella, E. coli, helminth ova, spores, and microplastic biofilm markers keep the proof package broader than a single fecal-indicator result.

DNA persistence is not treated as viable survival, and viable survival is not treated as ARG removal; the page keeps both questions visible.

Current biological-safety decision

Hot conversion is not the same as biological release proof

HTL severity likely destroys viable organisms, but the fuel plan still needs measured biological proof: culture or indicator assays, viability-PCR, ARG/MGE qPCR or ddPCR, metagenomic follow-up, hydrochar leachate, aqueous regrowth, and a destruction fallback for cases that fail product, residual, or WRRF-return gates.

Portfolio score616.9

6 biological-safety categories are covered by the selected Docker-generated package.

Top targetintI1 class 1 integron

Mobile elements lead the target list because ARG transfer risk is not answered by viable-organism indicators alone.

Max DNA persistence98

Persistent DNA and cell-free ARGs stay visible even when viability indicators fall below release limits.

Max log reduction12.18

High-severity fallback destruction is retained for sludge windows that fail biological or contaminant gates.
